Prague, Kids, Football

Posted by listenhear on July 12th, 2007

Latitude 50° 6′6.78″NLongitude  14°25′42.09″E  So, I spent a few weeks in Prague armed with my recorder. What did I capture? Not much really, I ended up far too busy to even think about recording. I did try and record a journey on one of the marvellous trams…ruined by a passenger with a hacking cough. I did record some rain and storms, but I have lots of this stuff and it didn’t turn out as well as my other similar recordings. But…  One evening just before Scenofest opened I managed to get back to my apartment for a quick nap before going out to eat. As I lay in bed, eyes shut, I heard a sound that could’ve placed me virtually anywhere in the world, the sound of some kids kicking a football against a wall. This is, in my opinion a truly global sound, not influenced in any way by location or time.
