Making space on my audio hard drive, I deleted a session file (an interesting decision) and left myself with this little mp3 memory…of…….. a late night, early morning, red eyed, sonic doodle thing….that never got heard…

I’ve been busy holed up all weekend recording things for my next show. The trouble I’ve had is being distracted by a stream of historical military aircraft flying over my flat and down the coast on their way to Eastbourne Air Show. Now, despite having my trusty and dog-eared I-Spy book of aeroplanes handy, I was unable to successfully identify any of them…oh well… :>)

I’m not sure what was going on but the Sussex Police helicopter was hovering above my flat for an awful long time this evening…..

Yesterday evening, on the day I had my roof repaired.
Another one of the great things about living by the sea is watching storms approach over the horizon.
Not brilliant, recorded hastily, with rain eventually hitting everything…the courtyard behind my flat with refrigeration and aircon from the local bars working overtime…got soaked…fun….managed some better recordings from my flat later, but you’ll probably have to see a show of mine to ever hear them

For once the weather forecast was correct. Brighton is famous for many things, not least this…..
On a warm but drizzly day thousands paraded through Brighton, as always it was a magnificent sight and thankfully no one seemed that bothered about the weather. I have little (actually no) choice but to enjoy the parade as it passes just feet away from my flat. I’m glad it does.
Although, if I have one complaint, it is this - the amount of really naff, badly tuned sound systems, volume is everything it seems, but…! I can put up with the floats having poor sound but not the bars and cafés who have no excuse…..The worst offender this year was surely The Dorset, one of my favourite hang outs, in the North Laines area….I’ve never witnessed such a bad sounding system…..ever….not only bad but also painfully loud….loud is great, but such poor quality isn’t…not a great combination guys…whoever hired you that system? Ask for your money back.
