I woke up early this morning, still and silent in bed…l listened to this…as my brain slowly processed all the information which was preventing me from sleeping properly…it’ll be March tomorrow and spring beckons…and this week will soon be over…I got another two hours once I realised…and after I checked facebook…

I’m home to Brighton next week, part of me is happy about this and another part of me is…well….

Birdsong…and the first of today’s flights from the USA arrive, slowly over my flat, en-route to Manchester Airport…usually at this time of year I’m on one of these planes, looking out of the window, trying to spot a landmark I might recognise…and looking for my flat where I know that I’ll soon be asleep, dealing with the inevitable jet lag….the first trams of the day head to and from the city centre…my own travel, for the first part of this year, is limited to Europe…later in the year though…

A snowy, icy Tuesday morning.

I’m trying to work out if I can get down south (to chill (!) for a few days) but with all the travel disruption which is occurring across the country today, it’s doubtful…but all of this hasn’t stopped the builders working outside my ‘up north’ flat…..
